PLAN BRINGS SMILES
PlanToys is inviting schools and organizations in the U.S. to receive some special gifts. Our designers have created three special adaptive toys for children with special needs. These toys focus on three conditions: Visual Impairment, Cerebral Palsy and Autism. PlanToys has developed these three unique educational toys by working with rehabilitation and educational specialists. Your school or program can choose from the Sound Blocks, the Pinball Tray and the Caterpillar/Butterfly. We hope your students will enjoy playing with these toys. Our mission is to Bring-A-Smile during playtime for every child.
Sound Block(suggested for children with Visual Impairment)
Children will learn to use their senses and fine motor skills by putting blocks of different geometric shapes (triangle, circle and square) into holes of the same geometric shape correctly.
Children will be able to match blocks with similar sounds and different tones by shaking each side of the geometric shaped blocks. In addition to learning how to distinguish different sounds, the stress and the tone of sounds help develop their listening skills.
Children will be introduced to the concept of symmetry by separating the geometric shapes (square, circle and triangle) into two equal pieces and putting them back together to make a complete geometric figure.
Children can play and stack the pieces in their own imaginative patterns.
Pin-Ball Tray(suggested for children with Autism)
The pin-ball tray helps enhance childrenŐs concentration skills by requiring them to roll a ball to a specific direction so that it drops into the appropriate hole.
This toy also helps to improve childrenŐs hand/eye coordination and muscle control.
Children will learn about the shape of the ball while rolling it back and forth.
Children can learn how to identify primary colors through the colors of the balls. The colored balls stimulate children to play and have fun while aiding in the development of their vocabulary and language skills through group play.
The toy can be enjoyed on many levels to suit childrenŐs capability.
When children are able to drop the ball in the hole, they should be praised to boost their confidence and self-esteem.
Caterpillar/Butterfly(suggested for children with Cerebral Palsy)
ChildrenŐs listening skills and vision can be stimulated by shaking the toy to create sound and interest.
The caterpillar/butterfly will help to develop gross motor skills for the hands, arms and legs.
When children pretend with this set, they can wave their arms or legs like a butterfly. The butterfly/caterpillar can be used as a medium to tell stories and show the movement of the butterfly and caterpillar, helping to improve their imagination and physical skill.
Children can be taught about colors and textures.
Children can be taught about the life cycle of the butterfly: from caterpillar, to chrysalis period and finally turning into a beautiful butterfly.
